Aurora video

Ever wondered what the aurora australis (or borealis for that matter) looks like from space? No, neither did I. But I’m glad I know now. See for yourself.

Boot XP off a USB drive

If you have a USB drive larger than 256Mb and you don't know what to do with it, send it to me. Or make it your emergency boot disk if your computer dies.

Low tech ambient pixels... um... thing...

A cool way to utilise those empties.

Willy Wonka pill

This pill will make anything sour that you eat taste sweet, and lasts for two hours. Not the sweetness, the duration of the pill's effect. Another way to make sour foods more palatable is to not eat them. Yummy.

The cat's owner, Gary Rosheisen, was on the ground near his bed having fallen out of his wheelchair."

I don't know about this. Not the calling the police thing, but owning a cat? Who does that? They're emotional takers, folks. And anyway, it sounds from the description like it was more likely to be a tiger.

Oh, happy new year too.
